According to my trusty thesaurus, one synonym for the word ”reflection” is “echo”. I like that idea – the thought of chasing visual reverberations, those echoes of light that transform reality into something brand-new. Echoes that come back to us as swirls of color and distorted shape. Beauty created from shiny surfaces and light. Because we took the time to see and be amazed at the magical other-world, hidden inside.
So, here is a collection of light echoes, captured over the past month.
Linking with Weekend Reflections. Thanks to James for hosting.

Not only great photos, but all of them a bit surreal as well.

This is an interesting theme — I like the idea of echo. Your last image fascinates me with way the colors are reflected in the squares of glass. Beautiful! Have a wonderful weekend, Brenda!

Wow. I’m just sitting here with mouth hanging open. Wow. Did I say wow yet?
I love when words normally associated with one sense (echo-hearing) are transferred to another sense….which you’ve done beautifully here. There is a word that means that, I just don’t know what it is. Maybe your trusty thesaurus can help with that too.
Do you know Gilly at “the camera points both ways”? She just wrote an interesting post for mortal muses mortalmuses.com comparing the similarities between music and photography. She’s a great read, you might check out her blog and that post. Or not. Depends on the other “have tos” on the list.
Hope you have a great weekend planned.

“Light echoes” – I love that description. A fabulous set of images. I particularly like the first shot and the way the reflection is broken up and the colour reflections on the last one. Beautifully done.

As usual, Brenda, each one is more amazing than the one before it. That first photo is another one that has me standing on my head, trying to figure out how you did it. I also love the last one, the graduated color and shape as each block reflects a slightly different image. And that’s an enchanted apple if I’ve ever seen one!
