Autumn
When Nature discards its cloak,
the cool dappled green of summer,
And unveils,
for the briefest moment,
the fiery exuberance that is its true self.
In brilliant hues, blazing,
revealing the incandescent beauty
that burns inside.
And then, waits
for winter’s slumber.

Beautiful — I love how the photo’s texture almost suggests frost or the patterning of snowflakes too, a foreshadowing of winter.
